TBA? Is that your way of skipping out on a theme? I'll ask around and get some ideas for you!

"IT'S ALIVE" God's word is alive and relevant to you today! How to get youth to read, reflect, and accept God's word into their lives. Understanding God's word, cultural relevance, How was the bible created, who are all these people, the power of the Bible. Flash Back small group theme 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's ect. recreate something from each of those era's as evening activites (ex. sock hop dance)

That makes me think of "It's ALIVE IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!" like Frakenstine's monster... LOL. But I do like the flashback theme too. And the other one. I also have thought about some kind of cultural theme too, like bringing together the nations i dont know.

I was thinking. "I want to be your hands!" I was listening to some music while cleaning and that song came on! It's a great message. Or you can make it "Hands and Feet" Like the title of the song. There is a LOT to go on! That covers about a third of the bible so finding scripture shouldn't be too hard. :)

Witness - Youth will compare the Nike witness slogan with what it means to be a Witness for Christ.

LOVE the Witness theme. You actually could tie in the Hands and Feet theme along with the Witness theme - what could be better?

The movie "Dogma" talking about fact and fiction of Christian Faith. Do you really need to go to church and worship? The Truth of repentance! What is the Bible? Working through the tough questions our staff are recieving from their youth. Maybe question and answer type of format.

Hey guys!!! so about the witness theme that was our logo soughmore year and we used Acts 1:8 as the verse..."but you will recieve power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. Another theme could be "wake up" you could take it into reality and relate it how we need to wake up and realize what is really going on in our world today and how we can change it.

I like all of these ideas!! What about 'Shine On' and focusing on the scripture: "The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:5 - can tie in w/witness theme!

So a while ago I thought I saw someone say something about different cultures and religions around the world. While this might be a difficult theme to do since everyone has different views of acceptance of different religions, but whoever said controversy was a bad thing? I took an Intro to World Religions class this past semester and it really strengthened my belief that Christianity is the right path for me, but I also now have a strong understanding of the different belief systems. It's also really cool to see how Christianity has common threads with religions of completely different origins. With all the stereotypes and prejudices flying around the world I think knowledge is the best power we can have in the face of hate spurred from ignorance. If we really do want a global community of peace the first key step is gaining knowledge and understanding.
